Fun Run 101: Understanding The Proper Stretching Routine
June 24th, 2011
Going on a fun run is fun, but damage can occur if you do not get your body ready. Running from 5 to 10 km is not a joke; you should always do the right section before you begin. If you do not, you may end up suffering from muscle strain and fatigue, which can be very painful. Some of the best ways to stretch your body and prepare before you go on a run.
Stretch your leg muscles – Try for the expansion of the feet separated shoulder. Tap your right leg without bending the knees. Hold for eight counts, then try it on the left side.
Stretch your hamstring – To do so, lying on his back and slowly pull the leg against your leg while keeping the knee slightly bent. Hold a few seconds and then transfer to the other leg.
Stretch your ankles – Rotate the ankles, eight counts in a clockwise and then counter clockwise. When you do the same with the other ankle.
Proper stretching will help avoid unwanted injuries. Follow these steps and I’m sure you’ll have an injury free and enjoyable run.
