Dog Ear Yeast Infection

September 7th, 2010

There are two different types in which Candida Albicans or dog yeast can infect your pet.  The first type is the Primary yeast infection.  This is when the yeast bacteria hit your dog skin and the immune system of your dog cannot fight them.  Usually this infection is acquired from other dogs or by contaminated things.  The other type is the Secondary yeast infection.  The yeast penetrates into your dog’s damage skin that is caused by scratching or from an injury.  If you see your dog always scratching its skin, your dog is probably prone to acquire a yeast infection.  There are also parasites that cause skin rashes to your dog.  So it is necessary that you should keep your pet parasite free because this can prevent the dog yeast infection.
