Chelsea on the Rocks – A critically acclaimed Jay Kubassek Film

Chelsea on the Rocks is the first ever Jay Kubassek Film produced. This critically acclaimed documentary was directed by no other than the Abel Ferrara. The film focuses on one of the historic landmarks of New York, Hotel Chelsea. This hotel has provided a safe haven of many of the eccentric and notable personalities in the field of arts. It recently was embroiled in a controversy when it was acquired by the Meridian. Ferrara skillfully incorporates dramatized footages of the events that took place there and the interviews he conducted with the people who have called it home for how many years. Chelsea on the rocks premiered in the Cannes Film Festival in 2008.
