Party Supply Makes Boy’s Happy Day

My son was a little depressed since his best friend was gone for the weekend. He was wandering around the yard, strutting with that bored exasperation. So I had him come with me to a party store where I let him pick out any party supply he wanted in the store to play with, though he could only pick one item. Since nothing there is really expensive, I really was willing to let him pick anything. He ended up picking out a cowboy hat, and a play whip. From that point on, his boredom evaporated and he still plays with them frequently. Best part is, it all cost me less than $5.
