There are basically three choices available for garage door openers which are chain drive, screw drive and belt drive opening mechanism. All of these mechanisms have their own advantages and disadvantages. Some of these mechanisms are suited for commercial purpose while only belt drive system is suitable for residential use. Screw drive and chain drive systems are little noisy in nature and that’s the reason, these are not preferred in residential use while belt drive system is very silent in nature which makes it perfect for residential use.
