Leg Pain in Runners
June 30th, 2010
Whilst jogging is actually a terrific way to improve fitness, it is not without having its problems. There are a variety of overuse injuries that runners could possibly get and over half of runners tend to have an injury each year. The commonest reason for these is training errors such as performing too much too soon rather than building up slowly. A common overuse injury is what is known as medial tibial stress syndrome. This is pain on the inside of of the tibia. Along with the training mistakes it’s also frequently due to inadequate foot function as well as jogging shoes that aren’t suitable for that specific jogger.
