I always buy cases for iPhones; more for a solid grip and protection from a drop, than for concern about scratches. The plastic cases just seem to want to jump out of your hands. Also, rubberized cases keep the phone from sliding around if you put it on a console in a car or a tray on an airplane. So, when I got my iPhone 4, I got a case right away. It is a much better looking case than Apple’s rubber band, but it is slim and adds virtually no bulk. It hides the antenna. I have not had any dropped calls, except in known weak signal areas, and no complaints on the other end about weak sound. I have noticed, however, that the bluetooth signal seems to lose strength when I move around away from the phone, although well within the 10M bluetooth range.
The phone itself is a jewel, far superior to earlier models, and I am happy with it and my $20 case fix. I got the case at a mall kiosk, where I was directed by an Apple store employee.

Somehow the sight of an automatic weapon on a person with a badge on a power trip excited and delusional by the hype of a few terrorists that may or may not be on the lose is frightening. Now multiply that by a few hundred thousand and you’ve got a 1940′s era SS and KGB army on the loose and every man woman and child is subject to suspicion and search.
This is suppose to be America. 10 years, 2 $trillion dollars, 8000 died, thousands more wounded, and I can’t dfat travel advice from one U.S. airport to another without feeling I’ve gone from one police prison state to another.

This took longer than it should have. I hope the people of Ivory coast did not suffer too much during this time. Perhaps this will mark a better established relationship advice for men of partnership with France. It would be good for them to be welcoming of French aid but I would understand their skepticism. As we see today, it is not always clear what a country’s true purpose for pursuing aid in another country other than their own close allies. It seems though that if this were to happen again, it is possible that France would continue to help if the circumstances are similar.

Ron Paul doesn’t seem to have much of a foreign policy. He basically believes that unless the U.S. is attacked there is no justification for military action to protect our interests (I don’t know if he includes the Western Hemisphere); that all foreign aid should be ended; that Congress is the only branch that can initiate hostilities; that we spend too much on defense; and that, from his point of view, most of our difficulties would just go away if we relied on diplomacy. And he supports free lawyer advice trade. But free trade and diplomacy didn’t keep the U.S. out of WWI: they got us involved. Free trade and diplomacy didn’t keep the U.S. out of WWII, either. Bad diplomacy starts wars. Does he support economic sanctions? Don’t know. What I think he misses is that the world has to be relatively peaceful for free trade to work. Who will do that? U.S. foreign policy aims at just that, no? But they don’t anymore. His view of the world is one that I think is vastly more dangerous than the one we live in now.
