You could start with understand your needs- are you single, married, children etc. Accordingly choose an urban or a suburban place. Doing a careful research for all facilities like the crime rate, the entertainment, outdoor, indoor facilities etc make a difference. Make sure all the statistics for the neighborhood are well researched. Once your property is narrowed down, personally go and visit the place at different times - weekdays, weekends, day, night etc. Chat with the previous owners and ask the home association for all the information.
