Throughout the years, there has been many dance crazes that have taken the world by storm from the YMCA to the Macarena. We’ve taken a look at some of the very best. Many songs in the Sixties were written with the intention of creating a dance trend. Think of ‘The Twist’ and ‘The Loco-Motion’. The biggest dance craze though has to be ‘The Mashed Potato’, which is one move we’re all surely still trying to perfect today. A one-hit wonder by Los del Rio, the Macarena has had men and woman performing its moves in nightclubs around the world for years – come on, we all know it. Finally, made famous by footballer Peter Crouch, everyone has surely had a go at the ‘Robot’. It features a series of rigid movements and is sure to look impressive (or not) on any dance floor!
